Hannah Wilhelm, Reporter-
Almost a quarter of the way into our school year, the Glendo FFA looks back at what an exciting summer it was. We started off with our annual branding when a we helped out a local ranch. Not long after three of our officers headed up to the cold mountains above Lander, Wyoming for a week long camp. Evan, Sydnie, and I left Tuesday the 17th of June and made the three hour trip to our new five day home. Upon arriving we quickly met some friends from across the state, and met up with old ones. We spent each day learning new leadership skills, public speaking skills, and team building. We also had lots of fun, learning to swing dance, hiking, playing volleyball, and watching a hypnotist- or in Evan's case, being hypnotized. It was a great experience and we hope to return next summer!
Once again we had a great fair week. Cindy Twiford, Sydnie Eller, Evan Wilhelm and I all showed our SAE projects and then sold them at the end of the week. Cindy recieved grand champion showmanship for horses, and everyone sold exceptionally. The theme of the parade this year was ' A Family Affair' and we took the opportunity to invite our family members to ride the trailer with us.
Now back in school, we are planning for a successful year for all our students! We have big plans to better our chapter and create more involvment. We hope to see you along the way!

Sydnie Eller, Co- President- Coming to the end of a very successful school year we take time to look back on all we have acomplished, from the beginning. We started out strong with our new officers at our lock-in, building a lot of excitement for the year. CPC/ Fire was just as great for the five officeres who attended. Going to Denver Stock Show and puting on Homecoming Week gave us an idea of what better things to do in the future. As we come to an end, we really like to acknowledge our acomplishments at the event we work towards all year; State Convention.
It was a small group that went this year, just four, and although our mechanics team wasn't too sure how it would go, we surprised ourselves and had a good team score. It was a good time to meet with other members of the FFA from across our state and compete against them to grow as people.
The final act as our 2013-2014 FFA chapter, we had our year end banquet. Tied in with that, this year we also had a very successful labor auction. Derek Barton once again auctioned off our members and it was greatly appreciated. We awarded people for their acomplishments over the year. Award and recipients were Glendo Designs Employee of the Year- Evan Wilhelm, Star Discovery- Meagan VanBuskirk, Star Greenhand- Hannah Wilhelm, Star Chapter- Sydnie Eller, Outstanding Member- Sydnie Eller, Honorary Member- Jennifer Eller. After our successful year, it was time to announce our new officers for the 2014-2015 year. Parlimentarian- Peyton Stoneking, Sentinal- Jaylon Spears, Reporter- Hannah Wilhelm, Secretary- Ciarra Stoneking, Treasurer/ Vice President- Bailey Layton, and for the first time ever we broke tradition and split the president seat into two, our Co- Presidents are now Evan Wilhelm and Sydnie Eller.
It's been a great year, and now we are looking to the future! It is all begining with our end of the year barbeque for the whole school on the last day, and continuing our SAE projects over the summer!
